The police in Lagos have captured two men who purportedly confiscated a Uber driver of his vehicle, N20, 000 and mobile phones, while professing to be travelers.
CP Imohimi Edgal, Commissioner of Police in Lagos State, told newsmen on Thursday that the Uber driver was deceived into the thieves’ net by a female associate.
“On Oct. 19, 2018 at about 11:30a.m, a Uber driver picked a female traveler from Oniru to Orchid Hotel by second Toll-door, Lekki, obscure to him the lady had a place with a posse of furnished burglars.
“On their way to the lady’s goal she requested that the driver pull over to empower her gather cash from her beau.
“The driver obliged her and pulled over, all the while, three equipped men developed and looted the driver of his Toyota Corolla vehicle with Reg. No. KRD-827-EY, two telephones and N20,000 and zoomed off with the lady.
